Too many times all of us this blog react to things posted by those still in Churchianity. Please list as many passages of scripture that the Churchianity folks will have to explain away, twist or ignore in order to justify “the Law is not for the keeping.â€

Duck is good, it’s a dark oily meat, similar to how lamb is oily. If you raost a duck it’s best to elevate it on a rack so some of the oil drains to the bottom of the pan.
Duck Jerky is quite good as well!
I have not had goose, but hear it’s basicaly the same as duck.
The eggs are great too!
For the record, I bought some Dentyne Pure gum the other day and discovered that there was gelatin in it. I called the company to verify what the gelatin was derived from and it turns out it’s beef. So go chew all the Dentyne Pure you want!
It pains me that everyone here knows how to use the features of the blog better than I do…:(
David,
LOL…they can have my portion as well. I did like goose however…
Lets all get back on topic…me first.
One more Scot,
Rodney, I found Scot on youtube with Paul Nison?(raw foods), the topic of eating during the daylight time was brought up. I’ve been thinking about the cultural scheldule of ancient time and at the first coming in the flesh of Y’shua. Being agrarian, they may have worked through dusk awhile and eat light, rest/sleep and again work through morning then eat heavier, rest …. Just thinking out loud. Of course, we have the watchmen scheldule of night and day. Maybe someone has some scriptures they will share, I don’t know if there needs to be another thread? possibly.
Shalom.
Good job with Paul, Scot
Scot,
If you liked goose you have to try duck. Much better, IMHO
sounds good Dave
… but we gotta stop! good chewing bro.
from keeping Abba’s commandments to how to prepare wood duck in 292 comments…
This should settle the argument about who builds the kingdom…
Glad we helped clear that up , ROFLOL

You may have over-looked my inquirey a few post back about eating during the daytime, your “plate” is full perhaps
. Since I can’t recall any specific instructions, I was seeing if any one else had some scripture?
It could just be a matter a using practical common-sence? But, It is so great to know the detail Abba can use in His instructions and I wouldn’t want to miss out by over-looking the matter.
While reading psalm 104 a few days ago I came upon this, 19 He appointed the moon for seasons. The sun knows when to set. 20 You make darkness, and it is night, In which all the animals of the forest prowl. 21 The young lions roar after their prey, And seek their food from God. 22 The sun rises, and they steal away, And lay down in their dens. 23 Man goes forth to his work, To his labor until the evening. 24 The LORD, how many are your works! In wisdom have you made them all. The eretz is full of your riches. 25 There is the sea, great and wide, In which are innumerable…
I remembered this inquirey and saw some of my answer in vs. 23. Larry’s comment on another post about torah also being psalms as Y’shua had quoted from also helped me.
I am glad Duncan… it has helped me a lot to understand what Torah REALLY means.
The insruction to work six days and rest the sabbath gives us a start perhaps. I may show my ignorance, but is there any instruction about when to work and to rest with-in those six days? And the same for when to eat?
Again, I’m sure the watchman and perhaps other vital occupations were accounted for as well.
I have a question… We are commanded to gather a double portion on the sixth day, because we cannot gather on the Sabbath. How does this relate to us since we are at the end of the prophetic 6th day (6000 year period) before the millennial reign?
Any thoughts? New topic maybe?
That witnesses to my heart HG.
I tried to post a smiley to you Duncan but it won’t let me!

I posted this a while back ,this is my thoughts

Just a thought ,if we being believers in Messiah, and in keeping Torah. I believe this is speaking to us.
Hosea 6:1-6
1. Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. 2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. 3 Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
4 O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away. 5 Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth. 6 For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
He wants us to use his Spirit and Truth, the knowledge of Messiah and Torah.
He wants us to be a light to the NATIONS rightly dividing the word not sacrifice’s so we can continue walking in our sins. We now have our living Torah to show us a righteous path.
Joel 2:23
23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.
He is our Passover Lamb that made a way for us . We now have the former and latter rain.
We still don’t know our function, our identity (Israel) yes .
Deuteronomy 21:15-17
15 If a man have two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have born him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers that was hated: 16 Then it shall be, when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath, that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated, which is indeed the firstborn: 17 But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his.
See the word was to the Jew first then to the gentile, but us being the lost sheep of Israel and having found our way home(periodical son) it is the principle of the first born not first to be born in the flesh but the fist born again the one that pleases the father. Like Cane &Able , Esau & Jacob, like first Adam fell to sin second Adam (Yasuaha)over came sin by SPIRIT and TRUTH the bread and wine
The first and the last
2 Kings 2:9-11
9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. 10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so. 11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
Has not Messiah handed his mantel over to us that are not blind in part but we have both halves or the fullness of YHWH ,so don’t we then have the double portion?
Craig,
Yoel 2:23,
You said,
“He is our Passover Lamb that made a way for us . We now have the former and latter rain.”
Has He indeed given us the “latter rain?” Is it not possible that the early rain was on Shavuot following His ascension, and the latter rain yet to come, PERHAPS TOMORROW, Shavuot 2010? Or another before the end. Perhaps this will complete what Peter said after the tongues of fire. “This is that which was written by the Prophet Yoel.” Yet, Peter stopped before completely quoting the entire prophecy.
Yes, we have been given the Teacher of Righteousness! Yes, we have been given the former rains, but, verses 28-32 gives details that have not come to pass as yet. They are last days predictions. I for one am looking for the tongues of fire once more. Perhaps not the same way, but as a renewing of Israel. Perhaps the sealing of the servants of YHVH in their foreheads as indicated in Revelation. The calling back to the land.
I am not prophesying, just stating opinion.
David, I agree with you. I believe that the prophecy concerning the “former rain and the latter rain together” refers to the last great outpouring of the Holy Spirit that precedes the Great Tribulation – the “double portion of manna” to be gathered on the 6th day, if you like.
Rodney,
I had not thought of the double portion of manna. That is good. Sounds very likely.
Great points guys. Thanks.
I wasn’t sure where to put this, so mods feel free to move it, but tell me where it goes, please. I was talking with my husband after reading this weeks Koenig Report that we read every week and it occurred to me that after learning to walk in Torah these last almost two years I am ready to really be used for the kingdom. No not kingdom building, just being ready to give an answer for the hope that lies within me. I said to my husband, “I don’t even know how to explain the gospel message anymore in a succinct way.” I mean, I understand it, but now I don’t know how to explain it very eloquently to someone who wants to know more. Does anyone have a nice way to explain the gospel message maybe with a couple of verses that back up our need for a faith that is lived in loving obedience to our awesome Creator.
It seems to me that in my experience of being in the Christian faith for 14 years or so and listening to countless sermons, reading countless books, etc. that they talk about being righteous before God, but really don’t know how to accomplish it because they don’t know exactly how to flesh out what righteousness really is and means. Without understanding that the Torah is the perfect image of YHWH our Elohim how can they know what our awesome Father looks like and how He expects His kids to act. They talk about being transformed into the image of God, but think that no one can know what that will look like this side of heaven. Certainly not that anyone could even try to become that here on earth. Keeping Torah is not that hard. It is much harder to be a fully law-abiding citizen of the US of A. Mostly because they keep changing the rules on us. But our Creator has never changed and never will. That is incredibly comforting to me.
So if anyone has any helpful ideas, please share with a person who wants to serve our awesome Elohim, YHWH.
Shabbat Shalom friends,
Luci
PS Do we need a separate thread for this topic?
Dear Luci,
I was intrigued when I read your post, because only a few days ago, I was wondering the same exact thing!! I was sitting here thinking, how do I explain the the Gospel message simply – without all the baggage of my church years..? I almost posted the question too…
Anyway, thanks for posting — and I hope someone will share with us, how they share the Gospel message after coming out of Babylon.
Yah bless:).

Hi there,
With regards to keeping the Law, and Paul’s teachings: Why does Paul, in Galatians, say that we shouldn’t bother circumcising believers in Yeshua, if he was really trying to teach keeping the Law. If he was trying to teach that it was necessary or important to keep the Law, then why did he lament it when believers in Yeshua decided to get circumcised? It is part of the Law that all Males should be circumcised, is it not? Why then, if Paul was trying to maintain adherence to the Law, did he say that Yeshua would be of no use to them if they decided to get circumcised?
Please know that I am not coming onto this forum in a spirit of malevolence, or judgment. I have become very confused and discouraged in my faith, lately, because I have recently been exposed to Messianic Judaism, and those who say we’re supposed to keep the Law. Basically, I have no idea what to think or believe anymore, and I just want honest answers.
Graham,
Hi, The heart is at the center of what Abba is instructing. The circumcision of one’s heart is first, this is salvation- beginning the relationship. The context of who Paul was talking about is people saying “do the law” TO BE SAVED ie: relationship. Paul is letting them know that the faith and grace from Y’shua(the Seed) comes first, FROM THEIR HEART (His Kingdom), then the obedience to keeping the law follows.
Shalom
