Too many times all of us this blog react to things posted by those still in Churchianity. Please list as many passages of scripture that the Churchianity folks will have to explain away, twist or ignore in order to justify “the Law is not for the keeping.â€

Rodney,
I had not thought of the double portion of manna. That is good. Sounds very likely.
Great points guys. Thanks.
I wasn’t sure where to put this, so mods feel free to move it, but tell me where it goes, please. I was talking with my husband after reading this weeks Koenig Report that we read every week and it occurred to me that after learning to walk in Torah these last almost two years I am ready to really be used for the kingdom. No not kingdom building, just being ready to give an answer for the hope that lies within me. I said to my husband, “I don’t even know how to explain the gospel message anymore in a succinct way.” I mean, I understand it, but now I don’t know how to explain it very eloquently to someone who wants to know more. Does anyone have a nice way to explain the gospel message maybe with a couple of verses that back up our need for a faith that is lived in loving obedience to our awesome Creator.
It seems to me that in my experience of being in the Christian faith for 14 years or so and listening to countless sermons, reading countless books, etc. that they talk about being righteous before God, but really don’t know how to accomplish it because they don’t know exactly how to flesh out what righteousness really is and means. Without understanding that the Torah is the perfect image of YHWH our Elohim how can they know what our awesome Father looks like and how He expects His kids to act. They talk about being transformed into the image of God, but think that no one can know what that will look like this side of heaven. Certainly not that anyone could even try to become that here on earth. Keeping Torah is not that hard. It is much harder to be a fully law-abiding citizen of the US of A. Mostly because they keep changing the rules on us. But our Creator has never changed and never will. That is incredibly comforting to me.
So if anyone has any helpful ideas, please share with a person who wants to serve our awesome Elohim, YHWH.
Shabbat Shalom friends,
Luci
PS Do we need a separate thread for this topic?
Dear Luci,
I was intrigued when I read your post, because only a few days ago, I was wondering the same exact thing!! I was sitting here thinking, how do I explain the the Gospel message simply – without all the baggage of my church years..? I almost posted the question too…
Anyway, thanks for posting — and I hope someone will share with us, how they share the Gospel message after coming out of Babylon.
Yah bless:).

Hi there,
With regards to keeping the Law, and Paul’s teachings: Why does Paul, in Galatians, say that we shouldn’t bother circumcising believers in Yeshua, if he was really trying to teach keeping the Law. If he was trying to teach that it was necessary or important to keep the Law, then why did he lament it when believers in Yeshua decided to get circumcised? It is part of the Law that all Males should be circumcised, is it not? Why then, if Paul was trying to maintain adherence to the Law, did he say that Yeshua would be of no use to them if they decided to get circumcised?
Please know that I am not coming onto this forum in a spirit of malevolence, or judgment. I have become very confused and discouraged in my faith, lately, because I have recently been exposed to Messianic Judaism, and those who say we’re supposed to keep the Law. Basically, I have no idea what to think or believe anymore, and I just want honest answers.
Graham,
Hi, The heart is at the center of what Abba is instructing. The circumcision of one’s heart is first, this is salvation- beginning the relationship. The context of who Paul was talking about is people saying “do the law” TO BE SAVED ie: relationship. Paul is letting them know that the faith and grace from Y’shua(the Seed) comes first, FROM THEIR HEART (His Kingdom), then the obedience to keeping the law follows.
Shalom
